Careers Project work is a lifestyle choice that is not right for all people at all phases of their lives. If, at this time in your life, you have enough 'excitement' and lack of routine in other areas of your life, then Project Work is not for you, now. If however, you are looking for more variety in your worklife, then it might be the right choice for you. Let me start by distinguishing between Project Work and Long Term Staffing. In Long Term Staffing, you are effectively an employee of the firm for which the work is done, without most of the politics and without most of the benefits. Long Term Staffing assignments can drag on for many years. Projects, on the other hand, have a definite start and a definite end. You are there to accomplish something specific. When it's done, the 'job' is over. |
